A brief History of Sri Sri Chintamoni Kunja.

Year of Establishment :- 1809 A.D. or 1215 SANA according to Bengali calendar.

Introduction:-
Sri Sri Chintamoni Kunja was established by Sri Ramsundar Vidyalankar; whose monk-ship was SRI SRI CHINTAMONI GOSWAMI a renowned scholar, philosopher and think tank of the contemporary era of undivided Bengal. Ramsundar was contemporary of Raja Rammohon Roy a social reformist of Bengal. Ramsundar was also a social reformist but he didn't got the fame of glory as he choose his workplace interior of rural Bengal. His vivid and profound knowledge of Hindu mythology and Vaishnab mythology leads him towards a social - religious transition rather than towards a complete spiritual transition, which leads him to start a revival of class less society on the paved way of SRI KRISHNA CHAITANYA MAHAPRABHU in spiritual sector, which was completely occupied by the BRHMMANYABAD or priests and there ritual.

Sri Mihir Madhab giving speech during a programme at Sri Sri Chintamoni Kunja.

Our Spiritual movement (since 1809 AD till date):-
We are fighting for a classless hierarchy-less simple spiritual society; as stated in UPANISHADA "SARBANG KHALIDANG BRAMHA'' - means every thing in the universe is a part of almighty, so there should be no division of class and hierarchy. So our spiritual practice follows the eight rules set up by SRI KRISHNA CHAITANYA MAHA PRABHU (SIKSHASTAKA) :-
"TRINADOPI SUNEECHENA TARORIBO SAHISNUNA
AAMANEENA MANADENA KIRTANEEYA SADA HARI"
The above stated phrase means ''Be down to earth like a grass, be tolerant and enduring, give respect to every one and enchant the holy name of KRISNA''. Its not only a ideology, rather a revival started by SRI KRISHNA CHAITANYA MAHAPRABHU, but after his disappearance all the religious divisions came into the course once again, in late 17th century the situation gone more chaotic as the backward class of contemporary Bengal or DALITs became cornered by the heavy toll of rituals. Religious and social intolerance and divisions broke up the back bone of the Prem Dharma preached by SRI KRISHNA CHAITANYA MAHAPRABHU,  Then Sri Ramsundar Vidyalankar; or SRI CHINTAMONI GOSWAMI stepped in and started to preach the PREMA DHARMA or the religion of love established by SRI KRISHNA CHAITANYA MAHAPRABHU, or the VAKTI SAMYABAD or religious communism among the lower class of contemporary Bengal or DALITs through out the remote and rural Bengal. With the course of time Sri Ramsundar Vidyalankar came to SriDham Nabadwip and established SRI SRI CHINTAMONI KUNJA, in the year of 1809 A.D. or 1215 SANA according to Bengali calendar. Since 1809 Sri Sri Chintamoni Kunja is working hard for the interest of the society and backward class people.

Ignition of Bhakti Revival with Sri Sri Chintamoni Kunja:-
Right after SRIMAN MAHAPRABHU Sri Sri Chintamoni Kunja started the Bhakti(worship) Revival on the paved way of SRIMAN MSHAPRABHU or Srikrishna Chaitanya Deb. With his ideological motto; Sri Chintamoni Goswami brought all his disciples despite of their races and social classes either a Brahmin or Dalit on a same boat of Bhakti Sammyavad (or common worship). The ideology merely spread up by his grandson Prabhu Krishnakanta Shiromoni Goswami, who was the celebrated Bhagwat Katha Bachak or Bhagwat Pathak (a public speaker who preaches Srimadbhagwatam). Although the movement reached its highest pick during the period of his grandson Prabhu Haridas Chakraborty Goswami. Who was a known academician, philosopher, ideologist, social think tank and a Bhagwat Katha Bachak or Bhagwat Pathak (a public speaker who preaches Srimadbhagwatam) of 80's. He turned all the ideological factors of Sri Sri Chintamoni Kunja into literature. He got himself out of all the hypocrisy and simplified the way of Bhajan (ritual of worship) by finding the basic truth with its scientific backbone on the ground of proper logic.

Sri Sri Chintamoni Kunja and Education:-
Since day one of its establishment Sri Sri Chintamoni Kunja contributed a lot in the field of education. As all the Gurus of Sri Sri Chintamoni Kunja is a celebrated Pandit (academician of Tol and Chatusphathi Education System of Sanatana School of Education) as well as they are Scholar academician of conventional education. Because our Sanatana Spiritual ideology is very hard and complex as all of our spiritual literature is full of Rhetoric, Literary Devises and Philosophical Ideas so it is very hard to understand for someone illiterate. Because unless having a proper and sound academic knowledge you cannot understand a single line of our spiritual literature.

Sri Mihir Madhab distributing academic articles to poor and native students of Sridham Nabadwip.

But Prabhu Haridas Chakraborty Goswami started a movement against illiteracy. Although he faced poverty throughout his life he didn't stopped, he was a teacher of femous NABADWIP HINDU SCHOOL and he used to took poor students to his home and provide them all type of academical help along with their food and livelihood.
After Prabhu Haridas his younger son Sri Mihir Madhab is following the same way of Prabhu Haridas.Since 2008 till date Mihir Madhab providing academic articlesfor near about 300 poor students of government school in Nabadwip.
Sri Debi Madhab Goswami elder son of Prabhu Haridas established an school in native Nabadwip. He was the founder Head Master of the school. The school is named after Sriman Mahaprabhu, i.e. RANIRCHARA SREE CHAITANNYA HIGH SCHOOL. And Sri Debimadhab handed over the school to the government of West Bengal for the sake of poor and native students of Sridham Nabadwip.

Sri Sri Chintamoni Kunja and Social Work:-
Sri Sri Chintamoni Kunja is also involved in various type of social work such as cloths distribution among the poor and native people of Sridham Nabadwip.
